This is the fish that inspired this page. It is the new Manitoba Record, and giving the world record a run for it's money.
I dream of some day catching a brook trout in the 10 pound plus class, and this old girl would do just fine. At 29 inches
long with a 21 inch girth, the fish is estimated 15-17 lbs. The lucky angler was Tim Matheson. The stars were aligned for
big fish that day, as Tim and his buddy caught 3 rainbows 27,28,and 29 inches in the same 3 hour window that this brookie
was caught. He was flatlining a J-13 Chartruse Rapala in 20 ft of water.
